Until further notice, Adelaide Dodgeball will be enacting the following recommendations and mandatory requirements. These regulations and requirements have been put in place so players are able to attend and play in a safe space during the pandemic. Adelaide Dodgeball is also hopeful that if the majority of players choose to follow our recommendations, there will be a reduction of players in isolation, and the season and training will be able to continue throughout the pandemic.
Mandatory Requirements:
You must wear a mask until you are on court ready to play. You must also put on a mask before you leave the court. See also recommendations regarding masks, and crowds.
You must not touch the balls between games until a manager or referee has sanitised them. See also recommendations regarding hand-washing.
You must QR check-in prior to entering the courts.
Recommendations:
In order to remain safe at Dodgeball, Adelaide Dodgeball recommends that you wear masks even whilst playing.
There is hand sanitiser available around the courts and will be available at the entrances to courts. Adelaide Dodgeball recommends that you sanitize your hands before and after playing.
Remain a 1.5m distance from each other, especially when off the court (shagging, or as an ’out’ player).
Do not stay to spectate (Referees and shaggers able to stay as needed), to reduce the spread of possible contact if we have a case at Dodgeball.
Supports in place:
Subbing Leniency: If your players are affected by COVID (Isolation, Quarantine, Uncomfortable Attending), there will be subbing leniency available so you are able to source players for your game. With subbing please try to not abuse the leniency and find suitable “like-for-like” subs where possible so we can maintain a fair season. See Subbing Regulations
Catch Up Rounds: If your team has been severely affected by COVID and is unable to attend a few we are able to schedule catch up rounds, prior to the season finals. Please get in touch with Adelaide Dodgeball as soon as possible for these catch-up rounds. See Subbing Regulations
