Sunday League returns 21st of September 2025 - Register now!
IT ALL STARTS HERE
REGISTER FOR NEXT SEASON
To register for the next upcoming season, fill out the below. You are not obligated to begin with us if you have a change of mind. Adelaide Dodgeball will be in contact with you closer to the season to confirm your attendance.
There are two main pathways to playing dodgeball, and here's the best way to get into the sport!
Pathway One: Register a Team for a season
Register as a team for any of the upcoming seasons. For their first game all new teams are assigned a coach who will take them rules and strategies to equip them for the season ahead. New teams at our larger leagues are also assigned to our entry level division to maximise the fun for your first season while you learn. Jump in, we promise you'll love it!
Pathway Two: Register as an Individual and become a sub
We also offer individual registration, but sometimes teams aren't able to take on new players as their roster is full. We encourage all individuals and all new players to sign up to our online facebook community Dodgeballers of South Australia, and put their hand up to be a subsitute player!
Just simply reply to a post and the captain will be in touch with you! It's a great way to gain experience on established teams in any division!
Yes! Here are ways to try our dodgeball before you register for a season.
Attend a come and try session.

Our come and try sessions are a great way to try out the sport before you sign up for a season. Whether you're brand new or just a bit rusty, these events are a fun way to get involved, meet other players, and see what our leagues are all about. They take place in the weeks leading up to each new season.

League Games
At our leagues we charge the teams, not the individual. Each game fee is $72 per team, working out to be $12 per player for a minimum team of 6. This means the bigger your team, the cheaper it is for the individual! Game fees are paid to our league manager each game of the season prior to your game starting.
Sessions
We also host a number of on-off sessions of Beach, Trampoline, Trainings or Friendly Games. These are typically priced between $6 per player per hour. We try to keep all prices affordable for our players and community. Additional Fees If your team needs to forfeit you are required to give 48 hours' notice or you will incur a forfeiture fee of $72. With each forfeit, your team will suffer a 10 - 0 loss for that game. Early withdrawals from a season will incur a $300 fee for the team.
Our leagues are built to be played by adults with an age restriction of 16 and up. If you're under 16, don't fret, we do allow players aged 12 and up to play on teams with their parents and guardians too!
As we don't offer youth leagues currently we don't allow players 12 or under to play at our leagues. Our partner venue ICA Sportzworx Stepney offers great kids and youth dodgeball parties if your kids want a session, we highly recommend them!
General Considerations
Before you join have a quick look at our rules, what location/night works best for you and consider whether you will join Adelaide Dodgeball as an individual (you will be assigned to an already existing team) or create your own team (a team comprises of a minimum of 6 people). Once you have decided on what you want head over to our online registration and we will confirm your details with you as soon as a new season is about to begin!
Ball Type Considerations
Consider what ball type you want to play with. We offer two main ball types: Foam and Cloth.
Foam Dodgeball
Foam dodgeball, which originated in Asia, uses six soft, rubber-coated foam balls and focuses more on tactical play in competitive settings. Teams are completely separated by a center line, with a rush on the right-hand side. This format is primarily played in North America, the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, and the Asia Pacific regions.
Cloth Dodgeball
Cloth dodgeball, originating in Europe, is played with five fabric-coated balls featuring an inflated inner bladder. Known for its faster pace and competitive intensity, teams share a neutral zone, with a rush on the left side and a contested center ball. This format is primarily played in Europe, Asia Pacific, and Africa, emphasizing quick reflexes and strategic play.
We ask teams to submit any time requests prior to the season starting. These requests, while not always possible to accomodate, are considered when we make the schedule. There are no swaps of game times once the season starts. Each player is required to attend at least 30% of the season in order to qualify for finals
Yes! We offer a reduced game fee of $66 at Adelaide Dodgeball if you are a team of university students. We just need to confirm your student IDs at your first game of the season for you to recieve your discount!
After you register online, you'll sit on our waiting list for the next season. Our managers will typically contact you a week before the next season starts to confirm your attendance for the season and take you through any questions you may have.
We encourage everyone to join our online community Dodgeballers of South Australia. Here you can post that you need subs for your game and people within the community will respond if they can help you out.
